On 5 September, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk saw the opening of a conference entitled “Shared responsibility – how to increase visibility and effectiveness of the EU CSR framework”, organised by the Ministry of the Economy in cooperation with the Responsible Business Forum. The participants analysed the experience of public administration bodies, as well as social and economic partners in the field of CSR promotion. They also looked at how the EU economic policy should be developed on the basis of CSR and sustainable development principles.

The organisers have undertaken to prepare the conference according to the Green Event
standard, which means that they are making efforts to reduce the negative impact of the
preparation process and the course of the meeting itself on the environment. This initiative
is in line with the assumptions of the “Green Presidency” project carried out by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Undertaking joint actions in this scope should contribute to
building a positive image of the Polish administration and promoting standards of good
practice.
